Fri13 Posted January 28, 2021 Posted January 28, 2021 https://www.navair.navy.mil/product/Tactical-Aircraft-Moving-Map-Capability-TAMMAC The Harrier uses the Tactical Aircraft Moving Map Capability (TAMMAC) that is capable to load a customer own custom map data. Today those are mostly digital, but they can be as well digitized old aviation maps. Like the current ones are from the A-10C that DCS offers for all. AFAIK the same are used for the A-10C, AV-8B and F/A-18C and in future even maybe some others. And this creates a problem as the old data was based original maps that pilots had with them, and those got digitized first but later those were replaced with nationals own newer data. What I would love to see, is that Razbam (and ED primary if they are responsible for that) would support to user select the map tile data that is shown on the TAMMAC just like customers could load own custom maps in. These few optional ones could be: The original KA-50 KABRIS map data that is currently in the F-10 map / mission editor. The original A-10C map data (currently in use). The user Flappiegs made accurate map: http://dcsmaps.com/caucasus/openlayers @ https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3305623/ Possibly any custom file that user wants - with guides in the manual that in what format, size and manner they need to be saved for use. I would love to drop some donations for the Flappiegs to do that all hard work (hand drawing rivers etc) as that map is just a master piece. So if it is up to ED, then make it a module like a 4.99 or so that people could purchase to pay back to him. i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.
