The Squadron is divided in three Divisions: 1st Division - Land based operations using the F-16C Viper and A-10C Warthog as platforms. 2nd Division - Carrier based operations using the F/A-18C Hornet and the AV-8B Harrier. "Lusitanos" Aerobatic Team - An aerobatic demonstration team flying the F/A-18C Hornet. We fly regularly three times a week, divided between the three divisions, on the various modern maps. We only require the new recruits to write, understand and speak fluent Portuguese, are familiarized with one of the aircraft in the divisions and is able to contribute to the Squadron.
