Possible to install the DCS World stand alone version from the DCS steam edition files?

I have difficulty in downloading DCS World stand alone version with the speed of 50KB/s in China,  while my steam downloads it fastly. So, as the title says, possible?

Yes, the standalone installer will copy paste exisiting DCS steam files.

How do you get the downloaded steam files to work correctly? I've tried placing them in mods folder, core mods folder. But haven't tried the _download folder yet, is that where my purchased steam files should go?
