Jagermeister789 Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 (edited) I have spent quite a bit of time searching for a solution to what I think should be a very simple issue to fix. All I need is for the mouse to function as it does in click mode but also zoom with the mouse wheel without having to perform three middle mouse button clicks or Alt+C on the keyboard. The keyboard Zoom binds only offer a Zoom Slow function which is way too slow and a Zoom In - Zoom out function which basically just snaps to extremes. I didn't want to necro a thread from 2017 where it looks like EGG was onto a fix. But, unfortunately his meant getting overwritten on updates or failing integrity checks for online play. I have potentially quite a few months to go before the new VKB throttle comes out so until then I need a way to Zoom properly without an Axis available and the options DCS is providing just isn't cutting it. I use Track IR 5 but I can't do sit-ups all evening whenever I want to zoom into my hud or click on buttons in the cockpit. I Have a gladiator NXT joystick with a throttle on the base which seems to be the only slider I can bind to a Zoom axis. This gives great zoom function but in a place that is hard to reach so I have to keep looking away from the screen to find it and it forces me to bind my throttle elsewhere. This seems like such a simple requirement, how can an advanced Sim with thousands of Key binds overlook this? I would be grateful for any suggestions on this matter thanks in advance! Edit: I just realized why middle mouse wheel is not used to zoom during click mode. I need it to turn knobs! The NXT also has 2 throttle wheels on the base left and right for each engine. The right one can be found easier without looking away from my screen and has potential but this behaves like a button when spun up and a second button when spun down. When I bind that to Zoom slow it takes foreeever to zoom in and out. Edited February 12, 2021 by Jagermeister789 Just realized why middle mouse can't be used for zoom in click mode
