Chopper exploding randomly in campaign mission deployment mission 2

Hi guys, new to DCS and I am learning to fly the ka-50. I am doing the campaign deployment, and in mission 2, my chopper randomly explodes, like it was hit with an rpg or similar, but no warning and nothing. This happens all over the map, in the way to the convoy or after I reach it. Most of the time it happens before the ambush spawns. Debrief just says pilot killed, crashed etc.

 

Im totally confused why an AK-.7 could down a KA-50 with two hits, but that's for another topic I guess. 

 

Any help would be appreciated.
