mission editor for WW2 and newbie

Hello

Any link to a tuto or to a step by step .pdf for a non computer scientist related to a mission editor for warbirds on Normandy and Channel map. I'd like to create simple missions as interception or scramble or ground strikes. Thanks for answers.

Basic steps: click on the editor.

 

Select the map you want. If a map was already loaded, click File > New > and then select the map you want

 

Assign nations to the correct coalition if necessary, Red coalition will fight Blue coalition, then hit confirm your selection

 

Now you should see a blank map, navigate to the left of the screen and you'll see icons. Click the plane icon to begin adding a plane group. The next location on the map that you left click will become a plane group spawn point.

 

Once you've clicked down the plane group the right side of the screen shows the group's properties. You can change the group's country (which decide the side the plane will fly for: Red, Blue, Neutral), plane type, number of planes (1-4 for small planes; max 1 for large planes). On the lower portion of the menu you can change the plane's initial height and speed, along with its starting condition (air, runway, parking) and add waypoints for it to follow. A set of buttons near the bottom of the right side menu allow you to change various settings like ammo and fuel load.

 

To set a plane for yourself to fly do the same as above but set the skill level to "Player". You will fly in this group, and if you add more planes to the group they will be your wingmen to command.

 

Ships, tanks, etc, are similar to add, but they have a few less options. There is also a class known as static objects which have buildings, structures, walls, etc.

 

When you have the mission how you want it save and then click the green fly button to fly the mission. This doesn't cover everything, but it should get you started.

Thanks Exorcet. I made a first simple mission : cold start, taking off and flight to the first way point but when i wanted to test guns and canons, nothing happened...back to the editor actually weapons were not loaded although the editor shows that my spit was loaded by default...the only weapon i could load was bombs...thanks for answer

Issue resolved. Not to forget to configure in the game and then to take off the security of weapons!!
