investigating Bug Hornet unbox TGT button HSI and SA page since 2.7.

since 2.7. it happens to me randomly that its impossible to deactivate the boxed TGT buttom at the SA or HSI page. Some minutes later and a dozen clicks later it works again. NWS click doesnt help too.

i have seen this too.

 

its a very old bug, definitely not since 2.7. i have no idea what causes it.

I experienced it too once after the update to 2.7. However, I was unsuccessful when trying to reproduce it.

I believe this has to do with the ATFLIR SCENE mode. For whatever reason, it does not want to let go of the designation when you try to undesignate from other systems (HSI/SA, Radar, HUD). Try switching out of SCENE first.

i have seen it with litening too long time ago. but now that i think about it, its been some time since it happened to me.

perhaps they reintroduced the same bug with atflir, that would be funny.

I've had this happen as well, and it's also seemed to be related to ATFLIR in SCENE mode. Exiting Scene mode, or setting the pod to standby has allowed me to undesignate successfully. 

 

Haven't been able to reproduce it to get a track though.

This. This is it. Worked for me when it gets stuck and unable to undesignate.

@BIGNEWY - seems that with ATFLIR you have to press twice on the HSI TGT PB to undesignate it. 

Track attached - not sure if this is intended as it undesignated immediately with HOTAS undesignate button.
