2.7 fixed core spread or was it disabling smt? Tried it and guess what.

Disabled smt and looked at the graph after a flight and now, unlike before, the activity is spread across all cores. 
it’s actually remarkably even too. It was never anything like that befor. 
 

so was it the 2.7 update or the disabling of smt?  
now I’m easily running a 2700x in vr with a 2080 super and all the cores pretty much hover no higher than 30-40%. 
 

glad I didn’t spring for that 5000 series ryzen!
