Nealius Posted July 26, 2021 Posted July 26, 2021 I can't seem to get any of the non-inclement weather presets to go below 5,000MSL. Even with the slider set in the 2000s the clouds still appear at 5,000MSL. 1
cromhunt Posted July 26, 2021 Posted July 26, 2021 You choose "high" scaterred:) "high is high" and cannot become low, just by player decided. Try to select another pre-defined clouds. Will see:) good game
Flappie Posted July 26, 2021 Posted July 26, 2021 IIRC, each preset has a minimum and a maximum height, so Nealius is probably right. I'll take a look. 1 ---
cromhunt Posted July 26, 2021 Posted July 26, 2021 (edited) Actualy all clouds seem have their limits between 1378 and 9646 feet. It was not the case when the first update came. So maybe a fix could change something. But we have before that to try with another presetting. I mean at least something not labelled "High" will see good game Edited July 26, 2021 by cromhunt
Nealius Posted July 26, 2021 Author Posted July 26, 2021 (edited) If the preset has predetermined heights then the slider should not exist. Else the lowest layer of clouds should appear at the altitude set in the slider. Personally I'd like the slider to function properly, as most of the presets are in the same altitude blocks by default, which can get boring. I'd like to get some thin puffs at 1,000ft without traveling to Nevada. Edited July 26, 2021 by Nealius
cromhunt Posted July 26, 2021 Posted July 26, 2021 (edited) Ok my mistake about the limits;I did it too fast. However limits are not same but they exists and works, you have just to choose the correct clouds Look at these screens caps today with scattered number five and low limit at 1000 fts Edited July 26, 2021 by cromhunt
Nealius Posted July 27, 2021 Author Posted July 27, 2021 That looks more like overcast or broken than scattered or few.
Nealius Posted October 21, 2021 Author Posted October 21, 2021 With today's update the clouds appear to be completely fixed in altitude. Previously I was able to lower the cloud base to get low cloud coverage, but now the slider appears to do nothing.
