I am enduring the nightmare that is a fresh install of DCS on a new PC, setting up all my controls again......

With my start up panel, I am finding many switches dont have the separate on and off commands available, why is that and how can I get them back ? I did make a back up of my old config folder, so in there somewhere are teh working .lua files, but I dont understand fully what I am doing with these....

I have updated all firmware on the winwing kit, and checking in windows, game controllers, I can see that not all of the buttons are registering when I press. A specific example is the APU switch. when I use it, it does not flash or register in the game controllers screen. It does work fine in simapppro thoufgh, registering its actions and also works in DCS, but only as an on/off switch in one position.....

There are other switches on the panel that have the same issue, the engine crank, the bleed air knob, gen tie, probe, ext tanks, intr wing and strobe all dont register in windows. I should add that despite not registering in windows, these switches do show in DCS controls and operate but as I say, some dont have the proper functionality option in the DCS controls option.

Any ideas please? Thank you

windows joy.cpl is a legacy application and only shows up to 32 buttons. Winwing devices have more logical buttons than 32, their numbers can be seen in Simapp pro log on the left.

When binding controls, make sure you use discrete ON and OFF commands as each switch operates as two logical buttons, one for each state. Three way switches have 3.

Hi Thanks, that explains why i cant see them!. But what about the missing discrete on / off commands, they are not there in DCS in the options?

You need to clarify under which module you don't see them. Not every module has discrete on / off keybinds.
