VMFA(AW)-533 Hawks (F/A-18D) but it still would be a cool livery as a F/A-18C

This is what the jets looked like when I was in the squadron back in the early to mid-90s.

Color of the markings was a dark blue.  It is not black.

 

I know it was a F/A-18D, but it is okay.  As long as they are represented!

That was about the time my dad was in that squadron till 95ish, any chance you remember a SSGT that went by "Dutch"

I just saw your post…

I don’t remember anyone that went by Dutch.  What shop was he in?  
@F18mech do you remember anyone called Dutch in 533?

Rearick. Last I heard from him he was working on t-34 airframes at whiting field florida...we served together several times..

Yep that's him, he now is finally retired retired, shown him DCS a year ago, he was surprised to see the 533 skin on a jet I was flying when he came and visited.  Chewmann's new skin looks on point to what I remember seeing on the C/D's when I visited him at the shop in the early/mid 90's when we lived in Beaufort.
