You are right about the Top Steer/Top Plate mistake, I should've spotted that too as my reference book (Soviet Warships 1945-present by John Jordan) shows this, although it is rather old now and refers to the last of the class as Admiral Lobov..

Well it is correct that the last and fourth vessel of the class was to be named "Admiral Lobov". However, it was still under construction at the break-up of the SU, so it was never commissioned with the Soviet Navy. It laid unfinished at the 64 Kommunara yard(in Ukraine) for years before the Ukrainian government decided to complete it under the new name "Ukraina". It should be completed by now(last I heard it was some 95% complete).....it has the "Top Plate" radar as well BTW. The question is whether Ukraine actually contemplates operating it, or whether it was completed as an export article :)

Maybe thats a re-skinning project someone skilled (I sadly dont have a clue) could do one day....

Unfortunately that wont do - the actual 3D shapes are quite crude, and there is little in the way of textures to work on anyway.

Cheers,

- JJ.

ED can already draw on expert advice on that area.......I have 5 cats! (unfortunately)

. . . . Is there no limit to Alfa's knowledge?

An authority not only on Naval units and aircraft, but kittens as well . . . .

Do the kittens issued to the Russian navy have any special modifications or equipment?

Gyro-stabilised yarn so as not to confuse kitty in dramatic sea states . . . . . :D
