Firmware update failed "Error! Select Base"

I just received my WarBRD base and connected TM Warthog stick to it. Followed the instructions to update firmware but it fails in step 6/7 with the message as above. 

 

Any input is not recognised (buttons or axis).

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Nevermind. I had to select the base, stick and create a new profile. It would be helpful if the manual would mention that...
