Olliecast Posted October 23, 2021 Posted October 23, 2021 Hi all - after some help with my button/ switch board I’ve made for my rig. It uses a pro micro board programmed through arduino ide per the video below. https://youtu.be/Z7Sc4MJ8RPM I’ve wired it up as per the video, however when I come to use in dcs I’m getting random buttons / switches turning on and off. Now in the comments to the vid it does mention something wired up in this matrix style can turn on and off if a switch is left on but when I turn the switches to activate a function I also toggle them to off after so there isn’t a conflict. Interestingly if I map it initially in dcs it seems fine but after rebooting I get the phantom buttons turning on and off. In usb game controllers, when the ghost switching is happening, there are no lights showing as being pressed. Are my options here either re-wiring or adding diodes to parts of the board per the comments in the video or does anyone have any other thoughts? Thanks for any help in advance
No1sonuk Posted October 24, 2021 Posted October 24, 2021 It very likely needs the diodes. Having used one of the matrix breakout boards on a Leo Bodnar BU0836, I'd be inclined to wire my Pro Micro to be compatible. They have the diodes built in. http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=94&products_id=274&zenid=97ea8bdf26b4b2ed3bf6330d77061dfd
