Manzo Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 (edited) The F-14 is an fantastic module, and Heatblur did an amazing job with Jester AI. However, I believe there is currently a missing radar feature that would dramatically improve the quality of life for solo Tomcat pilots. It would be great to have is access to AZ SCAN and EL BARS settings through Jester. This could be an options page under "RADAR SETTINGS" (Has two open slots). One open slot could be assigned to "AZ SCAN", with options "+/-10°", "+/-20°", "+/-40°", and "+/-65°". Other open slot could be assigned to "EL BARS", with options "1", "2", "4", "8". Having access to +/- 65° and 8 bar as a solo Tomcat pilot would help tremendously with SA. You can currently modify the LUA files to be able to change to this scan volume from the front seat, but you have to disable jester for the duration you want to have this volume. As soon as you reenable him he will take the RWS volume back to +/-40°, 8-bars. Let me know what you think. Thanks! Edited November 1, 2021 by Manzo 1

Thanks! +1 I agree that we should have the ability to tell Jester to use a specified scan azimuth and bars for our own custom scan volumes. This, of course, is only good in RWS since TWS is fixed in the way it scans. In my opinion, however, I feel that the +/- 65 degree azimuth scan is kinda useless since it takes so long to sweep across the entire volume and in my experience, I feel that the RWS scan volume that Jester puts us in already, is pretty good (I think it's +/-40 degree 8 bar scan) but that's my experience of course. Noctrach Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 I recently added a forum suggestion for this as well. Absolutely agree with your suggestion 1

Overall a great suggestion, would love to see that!
