Gogsie59 Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 I have been using VA for years with no problems but this Viacom pro is turning my hair grey with frustration(it's already grey). I've read the manual and followed the instructions re putting a random frequency in then saying for instance Truman......select. The frequency doesn't change and I can see in the va window that the request is understood uss Truman and the frequency etc is shown but in the cockpit the radio stays on the random frequency. I have a va proflie daisy chained and as always va works perfectly. I have it set as single ptt for vaicom and I can open the kneeboard and some of the pages (not all), all commands are understood according to the va window. Any tips folks???
sthompson Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 Which module? And is VAICOM showing the correct module on the PTT page? Is it showing Easy Comms ON on the PTT page? And do you have "Select Tunes Radio" checked in DCS options? Suggest you check those things, then turn on VAICOM debug and show us the VA log when this fails. To be clear: Radio should tune automatically when you give "Truman, Select" if you have "select tunes radio" checked, regardless of whether Easy Comms is turned on. The radio should also tune automatically if you have "instant select" checked AND have Easy Comms on. 1 I'm Softball on Multiplayer. Gogsie59 Posted November 27, 2021 Author Posted November 27, 2021 Hi, thanks for replying, it's the Huey I'm using and all the selections are ticked ie "Select Tunes Radio" and "Instant select". I have experimented with various combinations but no joy so far. Easy Comms on is displayed and Huey in the PTT page. I'll try again with debug on.
DP Spaz Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 (edited) I am posting to this thread as it talks about the USS Truman. I just purchased Viacom Pro and having difficulty with Super Carrier interface. As an example, "Truman" nor "Lone Warrior" does not show up in the profile. I've scanned thru the Real ATC Extension list, many of the recipients does not show up. Searching the forums has not resulted in a clear solution to this. Another issue I've seen is when I call the "ball", the LSO responds with wind over the deck, no further reports are received from the LSO. After I trap, I get no proper communications. Flying the Hornet module in these tests. Appreciate any help/assistance with this. --- I figured out that I needed to update my profile in VA... that resolved the issue. Please disregard my request.
