t5s_blanco Posted December 25, 2021 Posted December 25, 2021 I have a mission I am working on and I discovered that AI enemies will just stand and stare at each other rather than shoot. It appears they are at too close of a range. But they just stand there forever. In this mission, a blufor AAV-7A1 breaks through a wall by Beruit airport right in the vicinity of some redfor ground troops. Nobody ever shoots. See photo attached. They are just admiring each other. This can be fixed by having the break through be 30-40m away or so. That way, when the AAV goes through the wall, the red troops immediately open fire. One has an RPG, which kills the AAV instantly - 99% of the time before a shot is fired. In both cases here, ROE is the same - weapon free. So the lack of shooting is NOT because I set them to weapon hold or green alarm state. It's simply proximity so it appears. It seems like an AI unit should attempt to reposition around it's point to take a shot at each other?
