Skravig Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 As french guy I can't stop smiling when reading some inaccurate village names on Normandy map. I think this could be easily fixed. I have not found all of them but here are some examples with the accurate name on the right side. - mispelling : - Sainte Laurent sur Mer -> Saint Laurent sur Mer - Bretteville el'orgueilleuse -> Bretteville l'orgueilleuse - St Mere Eglise -> Ste Mere Eglise - St Marie du Mont -> Ste Marie du Mont - Crevecceur en Auge -> Crevecoeur en Auge - totally wrong name : - La Vailee -> Aure sur Mer - Rue Vilaine (which means "bad street" in French) -> Saint Sylvain in a more general way the word "Saint" seems to trigger a lot of mispelling issues. It should be written this way : - before a masculine word (like "Laurent", "Michel" or "Sylvain") : "Saint" or "St" - before a feminine word (like "Marie", "Mere" or "Marguerite") : "Sainte" or "Ste" So as to avoid me a mouth cramp due to smiling too much, I would appreciate these mispellings to be fixed. Kind regards from France 3
Mric29 Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 (edited) Hey French Guy, it's "Ste Mère Église" and "Crèvecoeur en Auge" ... For "La Vallée" it's à French 'lieu-dit' near Port en Bessin and "Rue Vilaine" a French 'lieu-dit' in St Sylvain. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/fr/files/3309247 Edited June 6, 2022 by Mric29
