Can't move individual air units inside group when zoomed in

As the title says, you can't move individual air units inside of a group if you're zoomed in. You can only move the whole group by moving a lead unit, wingmans are locked. When you zoom out, you can move them individually, but it's counterproductive as you can't be precise when you want to position them in a closer formation.
