I made a short video to explain how to setup Joystick Gremlin to disable your axis while using the Trim Reset function to resume direct control of the cyclic, while avoiding the abrupt transition back to the "neutral" position in game.

Using this method, I can fly the helo the way I find the most enjoyable, without micro-managing the relationship between the joystick in my lap and the trimmed position of the stick in the game.

Sorry for the unpolished nature of my video; creating YouTube content is not my thing. 🙂 Hope this helps others get the most enjoyment out of this awesome module.

Note: I failed to mention in the video that there are two pieces of free software needed to make this work:  Joystick Gremlin, or something similar, and vJoy.  Joystick Gremlin is doing most of the work, but vJoy is needed to create the virtual joystick that you will map your axis to in DCS.
