iamdel Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 (edited) Hi, I'm having an issue where while taxing and when taking off from a runway, my elevators will experience considerable jitter which bounces the aircraft up and down erratically. Every aircraft I have tried (F-15C, Su-33, F-16, JF-17) experiences it to some degree, but it's worse on some (like the F-15C, where the aircraft bounces bad enough that it makes rudder corrections tricky). The jittering stops if I stop the aircraft while taxiing or lift the wheels from the ground. It always happens like this, regardless of conditions. My buddy who I've been flying with does not experience this, and also does not have such a bumpy takeoff roll. He is not aware that this is an issue and did not intentionally fix it on his own. I'm told this is a known issue with a controls-related fix, but the person who told me that didn't know what it was. I don't have footage of my own displaying this behavior, but I happened to catch an identical behavior in the first 10 seconds of this video: I have tried: - running input monitor to verify that the commands were not coming from my HOTAS -unbinding and rebinding pitch axis; the jitter remains even if no axis/controller is bound to the control. -reboot, DCS up to date, verified game files (Steam installation) -It was suggested that axis bindings other than that used for pitch can cause this, I so I unbound every bound axis, but no luck. -adjusted deadzones and axis tuning for pitch; no effect even with deadzone cranked to max. Addendum: - Tried clearing all control bindings on the F-15C and then only binding the key that increases throttle, to no effect. Edited April 6, 2022 by iamdel Grammatical correction; added detail
