Hi, I am currently running the sim with 2 chairs - one for VR and occasionaly 2D, for helos and one of jets with 2D and VR.

My Helo station has a 3840 x 2160 monitor and this monitor is numbered 1 by windows. Its on the left. My Jet station has another 3840 x 2160 monitor which is number 2, but my main display for windows display purposes and is on the right of the helo station. I am extending my screens between the 2.

When I am in the Helo station, and want to run DCS in non VR mode, when the sim starts, it displays on the other screen. However, despite NOT checking the full screen box in options, DCS takes up all the screen and I am unable to click and drag it to the left. The only way I seem to be able to do this, is If I set the resolution to 2160 x 1600 , the DCS starts windowed on the right hand screen and I can drag it to the left monitor. However, I am unable to take advantage of my nice big screen and the higher resolution! If I uncheck full screen when its at 2160 x 1600 resolution, it behaves teh same as when it was at 3840, IE, it displays full screen and I am unable to click and drag it.

How can I make it so I can get DCs to render on the left screen or be click and draggable. I dont want DCS to render on the left always, as if I am in my jet station, and want to run in 2D, then I need it rendering on the right hand screen obviously, or be able to drasg it there.

I hope I have explained that clearly enough!

Thank you

Thanks, I think I have already done that - the issue is that sometimes I want it to start on the primary ( which is in front of my jet sim seat set up) and sometimes on the secondary ( which is in front of my helo seat set up) . That is why I wanted it to be draggable, which makes it easy. If I cant make the display draggable, then my only option is each time I want to use the pancake on the secondary, I will need to reset which is the primary display.....which is doable I guess, but a pain.

Any ideas ( anyone?) why I cant drag the display, even though, according to my DCS settings, I dont have it set a "Full screen" in the DCS options?

Thanks

I can do it by changing the primary display to the one I want it render on, but it's annoying I cant simply drag the window over at the required resolution......

Thanks for the advice!

If you only ever use one monitor at a time, have you considered an electronic splitter?
Or just use "duplicate", rather than spread across.
