Is it possible to detach from catapult with Supercarrier?

I've found myself in several missions where I spawn in hooked up to the catapult which prevents me from not being able to remove the wheel chocks unless you unhook from the CAT and then request removal.  Only issue is with the super carrier I can't find a way to unhook from the catapult! Previously I was able to hit "U", request removal and then hit "U" again to attach back to the catapult.

 

Or maybe I just want to abort takeoff for whatever reason and taxi back to the parking area on the carrier.

Happens to all of us at some point. Most people simply select another airframe of the same type to "solve" the problem. I think that's probably pretty good ediquette as others may be headed to the cats.

Yeah - that's what I've been doing... just noticed it was possible with the "free" carrier but now impossible with the paid Supercarrier =/

It does not seem possible to hit "U" and detach from the CAT on the Supercarrier
