Hi, this is more a windows issue than a DCS issue, but its driving me crazy. I have 2 sim pits both with large monitors and also 3 cube sim screens ( although I rarely use these ) I am hoping there is a windows display guru who can help......google has turned up nothing that works.

This morning , I wanted to use track ir and my usual main monitor, rather than VR. When DCS started in full screen, it was on the other monitor and I was unable , as it was full screen to drag it over to the one I wanted. OK, I thought, easy, i will just turn it ( screen 2) off and unplug the display port cable, windows wont know its there and DCS will display on the other monitor....easy....! Not so......DCS would start, but not be showing on my only connected monitor. I removed all "ghost" monitors ( this is another issue I have, randomly 3 ghost monitors appear in devices, you can remove them, but they reappear when you restart...) in device manager and control panel, restarted, even unplugged all my cube sim screens, so I just had one monitor connected, but DCS would still not be visible when I ran it. Display settings only showed one monitor, the connected one.

When I re connected my other main monitor, there was DCS, displaying on it......how can that be, if it was not connected when I started DCS and windows was showing no other monitors? I cant believe I am having these issues, windows is now version 11 and I cant do something simple like have multiple monotors connected and switch between them when I want?

Surely I should not have to be reduced to disconnecting them to avoid these issues?

Can anyone help or give some tips as how to best manage this please? I finally managed to get DCS rendering full screen on the monitor I wanted by removing the display port cable on the 2nd screen that DCS was rendered on, and re plugging it in...this made DCS move from that screen to the one I wanted....why or how it did this, I dont know. So how could DCS be rendered to a monitor that was both unpowered AND unplugged ?
