Tanker will only refuel one plane at a time in attached mission

My buddy and I are flying this attached mission and for some reason, when requesting refuel, the tanker only allows actuates a single basket (left basket) despite who is making request to join.

Plane 1 requests rejoin, everything works properly all the way to completion

Plane 2 requests rejoin, everything works to completion.

BUT

If Plane 2 requests rejoin after Plane 1 does, then either the tanker retracts the probe that plane 1 is lined/lining up with or simply does nothing. 

The ask: would like to be able to refuel both planes at the same time on same tanker.
