okopanja Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 (edited) On my setup I noticed an interesting problem with FPS drop. The machine is Dell G7 7700 laptop, with Intel i7 10750H, NVidia, RTX 2070 Super, 64GB RAM and 2x1TB NVME. The laptop also contains both Intel integrated graphics adapter, and preferred GPU is set to Nvidia. Attached to it is 34'' monitor capable of 144Hz and resolution of 3440x1440, connected with display port. With this setup the laptop delivers the decent FPS performance, when exclusively rendering on external monitor or internal monitor. Gsync is disabled, and display is set to 144Hz manually. I configured the virtual screen of (3440 + 1920) x 1440 and set the external monitor as primary, and internal set right of it. However, if I export the screens to the integrated display (e.g. F-16 MFCDs), I notice the dramatic drop of FPS, which goes up to 70% compared to the state where this display does not render the MFCDs. I have also tried moving internal display around (left/right) of external display (while the game was still running!) and observed that when the MFCDs are still exported but this time on invisible part of the screen, the performance is normal. If I switch this around, so the rendered image becomes visible, the performance penalty is immediately there. I consider buying a smaller external HDMI based monitor (to place it below the main screen), since I suspect that internal display reverts to Intel graphics adapter, if the GPU is busy on another monitor. Did any of you have similar issues? Does anyone have HDMI performance issues similar to the one I described here? Attached is my config file for the exports as well as options.lua file. options.lua Ultra_Wide_34_Monitor_Laptop_Camera_MFCD_duplicate.lua Edited July 10, 2022 by okopanja Uploaded corrrect file
