Azaezzel Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 (edited) Hello all, My in game call sign is VillaiN I'm 42 years old and I have been a DCS pilot for about 7 years now. My main modern air-frames are the FA/18, AV8BNA, SA342,F15C and the F5. I also enjoy the F86 and I have spent 1000s of hours in the WWII planes. I am looking for a squadron of pilots who are active and enjoy flying as a team. I get along well with pretty much anybody and am fairly laid back. If any squadron is looking for an experienced pilot send me a PM or reply below. Thanks for reading. EDIT* I live in EST but I am available for most EU timezone events. Highwayman8948 Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 Hey Villain. Come and take a look on TAW_DCS Discord. The JTF-88 community consists of VMA-231 flying the AV8B Harrier, VMFA-212 Lancers flying the FA-18, RNLAF 313 flying the F-16, VF-103 Jolly Rodgers flying the F-14 and The 4th Aviation Regiment operating the AH-64D Apache. We regularly operate in joint exercises and missions, all of which are designed in house by our dedicated mission design team and hosted on our dedicated servers. The JTF-88 battalion is aiming to be the more realistic and immersive virtual experience in the TAW DCS group while still having a good time making friends along the way. We try to follow real life procedures as closely as possible in DCS World. We use realistic radio coms and procedures around our carrier, airfield and in the area of operations while having a good time with our virtual flying friends! We have a military structure with ranks according to the US forces. This is so certain people have tasks and responsibilities to ensure we all get events properly arranged and the content produced is engaging and fun. This type of flight simming is not for everyone as it requires a certain mindset, dedication and motivation to do it right and seek out the knowledge required for the environment and missions we have made for ourselves. Our missions can be at times long, requiring in depth mission planning and preparation with regards to operating limits of air frames and procedures. As a recruit you are not required to take part in our mandatory missions but you are required to go through your squadrons training curriculum to work towards a full membership and mission readiness. As part of the application process you will be approached by your squad lead and he will do an assessment of you and your proficiency/abilities to see if you are suitable for joining the JTF-88 squadron you are applying for. Although it might seem like we keep a very high standard we still want people to apply as we have an comprehensive training regime and in my eyes this where the JTF-88 really shines. So don't hesitate, make contact and we will get you sorted out. Our basic requirements: Owning the Syria and PG map modules. The module of the squadron you apply for. Owning trackir based solution or using VR. Being able to perform a2a refueling. At minimum, have a basic understanding and profeciency in the module you intend to fly. Although the different squadrons have different requirements as far as mission readiness goes and have different requirements for their selection processes. We have a mature user base so we require you to be over 16. Being able to attend events Thursdays 1930z (training event) + Sundays 1845z (Mandatory event) If this sounds like something for you visit us on the links below: For more information about the JTF-88 see this link: JTF-88 Hardcore Battalion – The Art of Warfare (tawdcs.org) Our Discord is https://discord.gg/tawdcs message @Highwayman#4077 and i will put you in contact with the right people and start your journey with the JTF-88. 1
Honez Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 We aren't a formal squad but me and my buddy fly almost daily in the F18. We make our own missions and our style is a mix of laid back and serious. Reach out if you want to give us a try. Our primary aircraft is the F18 and we are learning the Apache
