Zapper3535 Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Gidday All, Just woindering if there are any real world UH1 pilots here who could advise on teh fidelity of the FM. I know it is good as I have been using ED products since Flanker 1.5 What I would like to be able to discuss is the fidelity of characteristics such as blowback both with cyclic and collective, rotor drag modelling such that you'll climb in hover IGE if you allow left yaw or does the governor compensate such that it reduces power to simply maintain rotor rpm? Anyway, if anyone would be willing to chat I'd appreciate it as an old fixed wing driver looking to go over to the dark side as a career change, currently studying PoF (H) and hoping to help sear some of it into my brain using DCS UH1. Cheers, Zap/
Quati Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Check this and also Part 2. More info here https://www.pro-flight-trainer.com/pages/accuracy-flight-tests
fapador Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 @Zapper3535No the FM is not perfect. I have investigated this myself over the past years even involving real operators. Everything you need to know is here: )Look for my post to find out about the notable differences) and the notorious slip indicator issue here: (where when compared to data tables of the real thing there can be noticed control input declinations..., thanks to test's done by some kind members). I also consider my self Subject matter Expert on the Huey... so I don't accept any debate or possible doubts that might raise. 1 Obsessed with FM's
fapador Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 BTW Even the 3d model is not accurate as you can see here : 1 Obsessed with FM's
