Dusty Rhodes Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Is it possible in a patch to get an assignment for a key for voice comms? I use the in game profile but there is no way to assign a key for Ventrilo or TeamSpeak. If not possible, thanks for reading. If possible, this would be a big plus. ED Team USSR_Rik Posted January 5, 2009 ED Team Posted January 5, 2009 It's question to TS (Ventrilo) - both voice comm. programs can't read joystick buttons. You have to use keyboard mappers (AutoHotKey http://www.autohotkey.com/ for example). Men may keep a sort of level of good, but no man has ever been able to keep on one level of evil. Cougar Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 I can use Foxy for my Cougar but I have no ideer how to do it right and have it work for that one button while still using the key commands in the game. I use the Scroll lock button as my PTT and it doesn't interfere with key commands in game BTN T2 /O /H UHF UHF = SCRLCK So if you're using key like alt and so on might interfere with key commands. Hope it helps a little
ED Team USSR_Rik Posted January 5, 2009 ED Team Posted January 5, 2009 I use AppMenu key and joystick mapper (SVMapper) http://www.sukhoi.ru/forum/showthread.php?t=46137 Men may keep a sort of level of good, but no man has ever been able to keep on one level of evil. Dusty Rhodes Posted January 5, 2009 Author Posted January 5, 2009 My wingman Griff came thru for me. Remapped a few keys that were awkward and not in use anyway in the game and unmapped the button I wanted for PTT. Assigned that button as PTT in Ventrilo and I am good to go. Now I just have to get muscle memory for the new places of a few of the commands. I am still using the in game key assignments except for my PTT button which was assigned in Ventrilo. Thanks for the answers guys. Dusty Rhodes Posted January 5, 2009 Author Posted January 5, 2009 My wingie Griff squared me away. We remapped some commands inside the game and freed up the button I want to use as PTT for comms. I then mapped that key in Ventrilo and it works great. Griff is my go to guy when it comes to this stuff everytime.
