Guest skybert Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 I have a MS Sidwinder FF joystick. The old one with gameport connection. Vista does not support gameport but some cleaver minds have made it work via a Creative soundcard. http://forums.creative.com/creativelabs/board/message?board.id=Vista&message.id=13336 This worked out great for playing Lock On but I cant get it to work with DCS: Black Shark. The program will not start as long as the stick is added as a Game Controller in Vista. If I remove the stick DCS starts an I can start a mission. I have also tried starting DCS, then minimizing the game to add the joystick. This results in a runtime error as soon as I try to start a mission. This is probably not a bug that affects many, but I hope someone have a quick fix. I like my old Sidewinder:) Here are the error file form the temp folder: Error running Config/autoexec.cfg: cannot open Config/autoexec.cfg: No such file or directory 09.01.2009 12:18 V808201900 Also found a text file named NewInputStart that shows: 2009.01.09 12:18:00:702 Try to create device.
