5ephir0th Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 (edited) Apart from the decrease of performance that comes with DCS 2.8, part of that due to the problem with flat shadows, i started to have some weird stuttering and lower frame on some situations that make no sense. I use an Quest 2 headset with OpenComposite + OpenXR Toolkit and, after some test, i see that if i disable OpenXR Toolkit the stuttering dissapear and FPS increase. I doesnt look that has to do with any particular option (postprocessing, FSR, FFR, etc) i just disable OpenXR Toolkit and stuttering is fixed so it look like some of the changes of DCS 2.8 has problems with OpenXR 1.2.0. I can recreat easily on Dry Dock Demolition, an instant mission for Viper on PG I would love to some of you test and give us some feedback and, if confirmed thats not only problem on my side, report to @mbucchia Edited October 30, 2022 by 5ephir0th NZXT H9 Flow Black | Intel Core i5 13600KF OCed P5.6 E4.4 | Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo DDR5-6000 32GB C30 OCed 6600 C32 | nVidia GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition | Western Digital SN770 2TB | Gigabyte GP-UD1000GM PG5 ATX 3.0 1000W | SteelSeries Apex 7 | Razer Viper Mini | SteelSeries Artics Nova 7 | LG OLED42C2 | Xiaomi P1 55" Virpil T-50 CM2 Base + Thrustmaster Warthog Stick | WinWing Orion 2 F16EX Viper Throttle | WinWing ICP | 3 x Thrustmaster MFD | Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals | Oculus Quest 2 DCS World | Persian Gulf | Syria | Flaming Cliff 3 | P-51D Mustang | Spitfire LF Mk. mbucchia Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 Try resetting all to defaults (via Menu tab, Restore Defaults). You can also turn on Expert settings (Also in Menu tab) then Developer overlay. Would be great to see all those values. Thanks. I wasn't banned, but this account is mostly inactive and not monitored.
