Dangerzone Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 (edited) (Only if it's not a huge task) - but it would be handy to be able to place units into different 'layers' on the mission editor, and have the ability to turn layers on and off in the view screen. This way - we could have a dedicated layer for air vehicles, another one for Ground vehicles, another one for Spawn Points, etc. I find that at present with the layers and paths all showing it can get crowded. Such a feature may make mission editing a lot simpler to manage. From a dev point of view the way I see it couple be implemented would be to have an extra field for each unit called "Layer". Add layers - choose the active layer and when you place new units, the layer would automatically populate to the current 'active' layer. Users could change the layer by cut and paste to a different layer, or just changing the layer in the drop-down. User turning on/off the different layers in the View menu would just filter out those according to their Layer field/tag. Edited November 2, 2022 by Dangerzone 1
Exorcet Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 In case you have not tried it, the unit list can show and hide units by type, sounds similar to what you're proposing. 1 1 Awaiting: DCS F-15C Win 10 i5-9600KF 4.6 GHz 64 GB RAM RTX2080Ti 11GB -- Win 7 64 i5-6600K 3.6 GHz 32 GB RAM GTX970 4GB -- A-10C, F-5E, Su-27, F-15C, F-14B, F-16C missions in User Files
