RockStar Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 (edited) Is there any way to use a virtual kneeboard in the sim? It would be cool to use for checklists and such. Edited January 16, 2009 by RockStar Rock on, be strong!
geogob Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 I prefer to use a real kneeboard rather than a virtual one. I think it's way better than a virtual one and fairly easy to implement :P That said, I think it would be very nice to be able to print out missing briefings, maps and recon photos. -- As for a virtual kneeboard, if you have a second monitor, you could have your checklists and maps open there. I prefer to use my second monitor for Shkval and ABRIS AMMS.
RockStar Posted January 16, 2009 Author Posted January 16, 2009 Using a real one would be more immersive I suppose... Good idea on the second monitor too. Thanks geobob. Rock on, be strong!
geogob Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 A simple alternative to a kneeboard (it can be difficult depending on the hardware configuration), would be a small pad with a clip. That combined with stand to hold paper pages (can be found in any office supply stores) can be very useful. I use a similar setup for approach and route plates. It's my replacement for not being able to clip stuff on a yoke.
