How to program Acceleration on the Extreme Pro

We thought that we had programmed the accelerator switch on the Logitech but after trying it, it doesn't do anything. It still seems to be connected up to the keyboard.  Can you identify acceleration and deceleration to the bottom accelerator switch on the Extreme Pro so we can use the Logitech for the acceleration and deceleration instead of the keyboard.
