Horns Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 Hi all, I hope you might be able to suggest some texts on planning tactical air ops at the operational level. I’ve found some good ones on the strategic level (so talking in terms of identifying centres of gravity, relative strengths of offence vs defence, different options and relevant costs for attriting enemy air power etc), but I’d like suggestions of tests that deal more on the level of planning various types of strike or SEAD missions, structuring counter air missions and that kinda thing. Maybe something that approximates a ‘playbook’ for planning air ops. Alternatively, if anyone knows of accounts of modern (say, in the last half century) air battles that provide detail on that kind of granular, operational level I’d appreciate it if you could share the names. Thanks for reading.
