FlyDR Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 Just got an F-16EX HOTAS with Orion 2 Throttle, and really really like it. I am trying to get the stick shaker to work in-game. I can get the default to vibrate the stick at a fixed amount, but when I try to create a profile I get nothing. I have some questions: 1) Is the profile actually specific to the plane? (for example, say I am flying the Hornet but have an F-14 profile loaded; does it matter?) or does it simply run whatever profile is selected, irrespective of the plane being flown? 2) If so, is there a way to create a profile for a mod (I frequently fly the Community A-4 and VNAO T-45)? It appears that there are profiles for all of the official modules, but not for any of the third-party unofficial EFM (or BFM) mods 3) After much playing around, I think I understand how to create a profile and set up curves for the relevant parameters, I assume the hitting the "run" tab and receiving the "Active" message constitutes activating the profile on the stick. Is this correct? (It would be wonderful to have an actual manual in English for this software) 4) I know that SimAppPro needs to stay running and be pointed at the relevant Saved Games folder and installation folder. Is there anything else that needs to be done? I'm not real clear on the export.lua issue. Is there a good concise description of this somewhere? Any assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks!
FlyDR Posted December 25, 2022 Author Posted December 25, 2022 Nevermind. It appears to be specific to the plane (i.e., F-14 profile works only with F-14, and F/A-18 works only with F/A-18). This also means that until/unless Winwing adds some of the EFM mods to their choices, that mods cannot be used with the shaker. It appears that the "Activate successful" message does imply that the profile is active (as long as SimAppPro is still running) for the specified aircraft only.
