Mission 6 success although dead

Hello,

I was doing the Mission 6 yesterday, and after receiving the "colt 1 dead" message, I tried to continue the mission and killed 2 ennemies, then directly exit the mission.

the mission report was stated as a success 100% ... 

why when we are hit, the mission is not a failure by default ??
