EtherealN Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Apologies if there's a spot in the manual or FAQs that I blatantly overlooked that covers this - I did a search on the forum and the manuals and didn't find anything. Basically I have a new computer in the mail due to arrive any of these days. Bought it in bits because my laptop just ain't good enough. It's passable and gives me some 20FPS on medium settings in DCS, but is prone to severe work overload on any crowded scenes. However I've already played a good bit of DCS - mostly self-made practice missions but also some work on the Deployment campaign - and I would like to keep my stats. Since there aren't any "savegame" files in the traditional sense to move over to the new install, if any of you happen to know which file(s) I need to move that would be just awesome. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
Namenlos Ein Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 You need just a single file: Players.lua.
EtherealN Posted January 21, 2009 Author Posted January 21, 2009 Awesome, thanks. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
EtherealN Posted January 23, 2009 Author Posted January 23, 2009 This does not seem to have worked. I have the new computer up an running and once I had DCS installed and moved the old players.lua file to the coresponding directory I was still faced with a blank pilot. New system specs if relevant: Intel E8500 on XFX nForce 780i, 4GB RAM, Vista 64bit, XFX GeForce 9800GTX+ Old system was running Vista 32bit. Mind you, it's not a disaster since a clean slate would let me remove from my stats a few rather embarrasing mistakes - like sexual intercourse with electric wires and such - but I'd still like to not have to replay those campaign missions I have done. The directory that I moved the old Players.lua file to, as indicated by the old computer, was: C:\Games\BlackShark\BlackShark\data\scripts [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
