Blacknemisis Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 In Lock on there was a map where we could see the airfields and the lines on the park way so we could place aircraft and place them straight on the lines. Im trying to make a living airfield and the runway and parking areas are all white so it looks ugly cause im just guessing where the lines are. Is there a way for us to change it to the old Lock on way?
koyan Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 In the Aircrafts properties window select: Type = Takeoff from parking. Then everything will be nicely parked. Unfortunately, as far as i know you can't specify where exactly it will be parked
Blacknemisis Posted January 30, 2009 Author Posted January 30, 2009 Well I was talking more about the static objects. Ive seen videos of people having aircraft nicely lined up while they are getting there engines going along with trucks and troops and things like that how to you line them up so good.
koyan Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 (edited) If you don't add further waypoints they will act like static objects. If you add waypoints (far from the airfield) or give them a task they will start from there parking spot and taxi nicely via taxiways to the runway, if set takeoff from parking. If you set takeoff from runway they will allready be on the runway when mission starts. Vehicles also will stay on taxiways/roads when you specify 'On road' for there initial or next waypoint. JDski Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 How do you get boats or ships on the inlets or large rivers? I tried, even static boats, and it only lets me put them in the sea.
Mac Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 I also wish there was a way to start missions from ships / carriers, but I haven't managed to place the chopper on any ship so far. :(
