actually_fred Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 When using ultraleap or VR controllers, putting your hand near a switch/button will automatically trigger the switch/button. When using hand-tracked controller emulation with a wide field of view (e.g. quest hand tracking + virtual desktop or OpenXR toolkit or HTCC), this is problematic - for example, when your hand is on the throttle, it's easy to accidentally turn off fuel pumps in the a10c. This is also a problem with ultraleap when looking near the throttle - it's only the narrow field of view compared to quest tracking that makes it not a problem when looking elsewhere. An option to ignore proximity and require a controller button/thumbstick action to interact would make these all better. 1 My projects: OpenKneeboard - VR and non-VR kneeboard with optional support for drawing tablets; get help HTCC - Quest hand tracking for DCS; get help If you need help with these projects, please use their 'get help' links above; I'm not able to track support requests on these forums.
