Never survive eject?

Hi everybody.. May be i'm doing something wrong, but everytime after i had to eject the program writes that i'm dead - but in game i see myself land safely with the parachute. After my pilot has landed i can walk around so i believe that i'm alive. After quitting the mission the program says im dead. This happens everytime in singleplayer mode with invulernable to off. This is pretty annoying cause i have to build a new pilot and restart the whole campaign. Can somebody confirm that this a bug or explain me what im doing wrong? Do i have to walk to the homeplate or what? :-)
