Launcher and menu system is all white.

When i start the game the launcher opens a window thats just white...

i can click on the buttons etc on the menu, i just cant see it...

Having poked around the forums a bit it seems that several people have problems with the launcher, ive tried the tips there regarding reinstallation of videocard drivers as well as terminating processes and running the game from command line, all with the same result...white screen.

I imagine this might be due to windows 7 still being in beta, but i figure its worth a shot to ask if anyone else had this problem and solved it :)

 

My system:

Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7000)

Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 940 Processor

RAM: 8GB

ATI Radeon HD 4870

DirectX Version: DirectX 11

ive updated my post to include the basics regarding my system,

Installed BS on Vista64 last month and didn't have ONE problem.

 

Upgraded to Win7 Beta, and BS still worked perfect.

 

I am now having the same issue--BS single player will not start--I get a blank dialog box after double clicking launcher icon.

 

This problem started after I did the following:

 

Removed backup hard drive that BS was installed on.

Installed NEW drive.

Installed NEW mobo.

Replaced 8800GTS with 285GTX.

Reinstalled BS on new drive, and now it won't run.

Have uninstalled, and reinstalled in every partition.

 

The multiplayer starts windowed ok, but I don't have access to the OPTIONS from Single Player.

 

When I try and launch SP it does not generate any logs in the Temp folder; only when I launch MP.

 

At this point I feel it's nvidias latest driver and my 285GTX not working with BS as I have tried everything under the sun.
