Hi All,

My squadron uses a simple NodeJS bot to manage the DCS servers we have. Figured it might be useful to others. The bot is hosted on the same server it manages and is pretty lightweight. Its designed to be run on Windows servers, it watches a Discord channel that you tell it to monitor and carry's out actions based on certain commands.

Setup Instructions and Code:  https://github.com/NZCypher819/U64DCSDiscord

It can:

  • Reboot the server
  • Start/Stop known Apps (which are configured in the config.js file)
  • Checks for updates of the known apps.
  • Allows uploads of mission files to server (can enable Defender scans on the files post upload as well). You need to use the DCS website to load the maps however. No idea how to get that working through discord yet.
  • Auto deletes messages from the observed channel (keeping it tidy)
  • For the listed "superadmin" it can pull the tasklist for console apps and their details as well for debugging.

Hope its useful. I'm adding to it as I figure out how to do things.
