One FW kill particularly comes to mind..the merge was the best ever, I did mange to get rounds on the target before pushing away lol The merge... Smoked with my Browning's I gave him the bird as he flew by Hopefully the forthcoming video will do the sortie justice! Toastfrenzy Posted June 5, 2023 Author Share Posted June 5, 2023 A 90-minute 4YA training session, starting off with Spitfire bombing techniques followed by ground strafing both with some success. Total of 2 trips in the 90 mins, had to land and re arm with a total of 4 aircraft downed following the early bombing and gun runs. Had a Mosquito take off as I approached my final landing of the day, forced a go around. No 3-point landing to finish but happy with the landing anyway. Bit of a longer video than I normally put together, not sure it works that well without a voice over (or some music) but that's something I either need to work on or continue with videos less than 60 secs. Toastfrenzy Posted November 19, 2023 Author Share Posted November 19, 2023 Took a few months away from DCSWorld, lets just say I was more disappointed than actually blown away with what I was being served. Yes, I know I only started DCS earlier this year this doesn't mean I can't have opinions or have to like what I see. 2.9 dropped and its resultant patch, bit of a game changer if you ask me, all good improvements as far as I'm concerned. Toastfrenzy Posted December 14, 2023 Author Share Posted December 14, 2023 (edited) First time for while in the BF 109 K-4 and I manage to take off, albeit a bit slow! Depart from Merville Calonne airfield just south of Merville, France. Out of interest there is still an in use airfield at the same location too, I checked the local area on Google maps. Headed NW for the South coast of England, Dover area and then for Hawkinge to hopefully catch the RAF enjoying their 4pm high tea. Had a little mix up heading home mid Channel, then made a fast exit as low on fuel and maybe too far away from home base (55 NM). So headed towards Dunkirk Mardyck (38 NM) airfield, no airfield there now that I could see on Google maps. I probably could've made it home in hindsight. Toastfrenzy Posted March 19 Author Share Posted March 19 Moved my PC from the cabinet to a desk as the PC just outgrew its home and rearranging the controllers before and after each time I wanted to DCS took its time. I'm way out of position and a single snapper is all it takes, lose sight of the snapper then head for Manston for a touch and go before RTB.
