Bug report: JTAC communication broken

I've not often flown missions where I needed to use the JTAC dialogs until recently. I've found (at least in the JF-17) that JTAC does not work at all (either using VAICOM or the communications menu) if VAICOM has been run, even if VAICOM is not currently running. To be clear, I can issue a "playtime" command via the communications menu but nothing happens. Doing a DCS repair (to take out the VAICOM modifications to lua code) solves the problem. All of this is on the current Openbeta using the latest community release of VAICOM

There are some hooking issues on multiple modules. We are slowly fixing them. Thanks for the report.

@PeneCruz I'm currently experiencing the same issue - but specific to multiplayer. I'm not sure if VAICOM is the culprit or now. The other 'warning flag' that something isn't right is that airfield ATC won't respond to my request for taxi/takeoff/inbound/landing. This is on the NTTR map - I haven't tried any other map yet. The problem doesn't seem to be aircraft specific (I tested on F-16C and F/A-18C Lot 20).

 

To be specific, my base configuration is:

1. Set up a multiplayer mission on NTTR map, no JTAC, and host this on a dedicated server on a separate machine

2. I then log into the server on my game machine. Others then also log into my multiplayer server mission

 

When the multiplayer mission has no JTAC assets, I can communicate with airfield ATC as per normal. When I add a JTAC to the multiplayer mission (set up as air or ground FAC in the Advanced Waypoint Editor), I can give my check-in call to JTAC - but receive no response. Similarly I try to communicate with airfield ATC, and receive no response. As soon as I delete out the JTAC, everything with airfield ATC comms go back to normal.

Ok I haven’t tried that, I’ll have a look at it and see if I can reproduce it.
