You get better answers the more information you provide. :)

I've dug through some of your previous posts and threads which does seem to be related to the same issue, and on one instance you did ask whether you need a joystick to play the game. Well, no, not strictly, but to be any good with it you really should use one. It is however not related to the issue you have described.

At the start of a mission you would press the Pause|Break button on the keyboard to start. If your keyboard has such a button it should work, there really should not be any room for incompatibility there is that button has been standard on pretty much all keyboards since somewhere around the first versions of UNIX in the 70's. :P

However, if your controls seem to be empty in the settings screen in the menu, it does seem that something has killed your settings, in which case I would recommend a reinstall. It is easier than trying to build everything back in again command for command, since there is a couple hundred possible commands to map and go through.

It would help us help you if you would supply us some screenshots of your options screen of the commands.

The Input.lua file is indeed a file where you can set commands, if I recall correctly, it is basically the place where the game saves your key assignments for various commands - such as Pause/Unpause and weapons release and Schkval uncaging.

EDIT: Also, it is commonly considered impolite to create new threads on the same issue in rapid succession just because you didn't get help fast enough. Most of the people offering help on this forum are regular users that just like helping out our fellow enthusiasts. Being impatient for the time offered voluntarily can easily be seen as an insult and thus guarantee that people don't spend their time on you. Please consider that and be patient, and if a problem persists with no solution, see if you can find some further information in your system that might be relevant and update your OLD thread with that.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I have re-installed many times, desperate to making it work. But no good results. Here are the screenshots. I also pressed Pause/Break button on my g11 keyboard, but nothing is working. BTW, in the control settings Pause->Pause means Pause/break on my keyboard right? If possible do you know how to change control so i can set pause to something else? because I don't know how to custom my own control. Perhaps my different language desktop is causing this? IDK.

Control menu-ka-50 real and all other setting is emptied out ( Weird how that red bar has its own setting )

Control menu after I did, LOAD PROFILE-Config-Input-ka-50-keyboard-open default.lua ( Theres no other lua files other than the deafaults)

Beginning of the game either instant mission or anything else. Still shows this box Pause/break to start.

THX. Sorry for small sized pics.

EDIT:I have come to this thread about inputevents.lua causing it to un-pause, maybe you could check it out

Yeah, the Pause/Break is standard, it basically makes sure that you're ready at the wheel before the mission starts.

The fact that it starts off empty is weird. Almost as weird as the fact that your Pause key doesn't work. Have you tried a different keyboard? The fact that the g11 is a programmable one might mean that there's some residual change made for some completely other application that causes it to not send the correct signal when the Pause|Break key is pressed. (Although if they've made the G11 programmable to a degree where it can inadvertently break standard keys as important as that one someone needs to go to Logitech HQ and slap them.)

Though, just to dispense with the most arcane possibility, you do realize of course that the Pause|Break key is not the key used by most games for pausing (which is usually the key P), but rather a separate key who'se original function is actually to pause the rolling display of text in a text-based operating system like MS-DOS or UNIX before the X-Server? Asking because it struck me that the key is so seldom used to it's old function that people younger than me that also have never used said old operating systems might actually not have thought about.

Hi, I will try another keyboard and post the result. And yes, I always wondered why Pause key was Pause/Break instead of P. If this does not work, I will just install it on my brother's computer to see if it works.

Thank you for your help.

Nope, not a keyboard problem. But its weird how i can use ALT OR CTRL + Pause/break to view fps and its working. And esc button worked when i deleted inputevents.lua or input.lua.

I m just gonna give up.
