So Thanks a lot for the Information added to the kneeboard ! Now it is much easier to assign tasks to the Devils as I can see the Maps for CAS, CAP and so on in parallel on the kneeboard. Remember, I fly in VR, and so the complete planning and assignment is done in VR now. Exept the the very first two step, air superiority and air defence level, were I have to peek, what I wrote down. But hey, thats OK for me. So I am happy to go forward in the campaign, although I had a setback in my last planning, which failed more or less completely. Will see, if I can turn the battle to my advantage again. On STAGE 6 85 perf.miz with Air Defense at 70-80% on DCS World 2.8.8.43704 OB MT. I've been struggling to get my AI wingman to attack the ground target that I intend, so was experimenting with trying to get him to take out that Bandar Lengeh SA6 but without much luck so I happened to notice in reviewing Tacview that when I give up and take it out for him, the Bandar Abbas SA10 is not present. Could you attach Tacview files direclty or give a permission to get in. I still thought about that Air Defense Level calculation and even after last update it might be possible to get into situation you described if you destroy the SA-6 radar and damage or kill at least three other units of the SAM site. I may still need to change the calculation method to avoid that.

Devil 1-2 hit the Abu Musa Rapier site but didn't kill it, and then the A-10s destroyed it, which seems to have prevented the Jask S10 from spawning, but not the S6. I checked your Tacview-files and it seems to be just as you said. At the moment the Enemy Air Defense Level calculation is real-time. It felt a good idea first but it wasn't because it can cause things like you described where SAM that should be there is not because you already have got the Air Defense level down enough by destroying something. With last update I changed it so that it needs you to really take the level down to next level but it still is not enough. I think I try to make the whole calculation changed so that there is no more real-time changes but level stays the same you set it in the beginning of the mission and affect to the Air Defense Level will become active only when you proceed to next mission.

Your explanation above about real-time air defense levels explains what just happened: I "forced" the Jask SA10 to come up by getting out east far enough to get an RWR hit before the Kerman SEAD strike occurred, and then back to Texaco3 for fuel, and then made the low-level SEAD run into Jask, but only got an RWR hit from the SA6 site. I did happen to stumble across the SA10 and destroy it with rockets and guns but it never responded, presumably because the defense level had dropped as a result of the Kerman SEAD strike. Sandman Simulations Posted December 4, 2024 Author Posted December 4, 2024 4/12/2024 update All missions updated for taxi director combatibility At the moment the taxi director update causes late activated squadron mates to taxi only after the player. This has changed during the taxi director development process and might change again later. If this will be the final version I will update intructions later. At this time you don't need to wait AI to taxi but you may need to hold at the rendezvous if you have planned a timed tasks for your squadron.
