The optical quality of the periscope (In VR)

Is there any tuning/setting for the periscope? 
In VR it is like looking through the bottom of a coke bottle.
Fun using it, but hard, because of the lack of focus and optical quality.
Maybe it is realistic? 
But if there is some functionality there to adjust, I haven't found it. (Yet)
Are there?

Try wiping your lenses.

No really, I'm not sure what you're experiencing. There is no visual degradation in the periscope.
