Lav69 Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Are the screen shot and fps meter functions not working? I have tried using the default mapped keys and mapped new keys but I cannot get either function to work.
JDski Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 They work fine for me. Screenshot= Printscreen button - screenshot go to Blackshark/screenshots folder FPS= CTRL+Pause - cycles through FPS and FPS with bunches of other info in yelow
Maenniskopesten Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 If you're using Vista it could be that your screenshots are saved under AppData/Local/Virtual Store/... I was puzzeld to where my screens where going, but was helped by the guys in this forum. [sIGPIC]https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/img/userbars/DCS_Ka-50_Pilot_UB09.gif[/sIGPIC]

Kaitsu Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 (edited) RCTRL+Pause I have mapped FPS key to RCTRL + Backspace (like it is in LOMAC) but I need to press LEFT!!! CTRL + Pause to get FPS counter. :noexpression: Remapping screenshot key does not work either. I cannot get any screenshots with printscreen button now because I have it as Track IR hotkey. Murphyd Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Hi Kaitsu, Are you running BS with multiple monitors? If so, the FPS counter won't be displayed and attempts to take screenshots can cause a crash. Both are known issues. -- Murphy

I have set 'Frame rate counter - Service info' to Back + RCtrl on Options / Controls but still I need to press Pause + LCtrl to get FPS counter. Hmm... Looks like you get FPS counter with Pause + RCtrl too. I have screen shot key to S + LCtrl but Screenshot directory remains empty. That is where the screenshots should go, right?
Murphyd Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 (edited) What operating system are you running? XP or Vista? If it's Vista, where is BS installed i.e. full path name. My best guess is that you are running Vista and the screenshots are failing either because they're being saved to a location you don't know about or the game is unable to save the screenshots due to having insufficient permissions to write to the appropriate directory. -- Murphy Edited February 19, 2009 by Murphyd

I have remapped couple of other keys and they work just fine. Looks like FPS and screenshot keys cannot be changed. Can you remap and get them work? Edited February 19, 2009 by Kaitsu
Murphyd Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 I was clearly on the right track  -- Murphy
Lav69 Posted February 20, 2009 Author Posted February 20, 2009 I set both back to default and both work now. I guess only the default mappings work.
