Server setup

Hi all

 

i generated a couple of missions and want to play them online.

 

so i startet the MP version of BS and tried to connect my pc at home like a server.

 

I could open and start a mission, and also i could select the heli and fly around.

but i was wondering why nobody joined, even after 1-2 hours.

 

so i shut down and re-joind as a client.

 

and there was my IP adress still visible in the list but....without any description.

also, by time, i see other IP's without description.

 

so what went wrong? i am sure, if i appear without description its hard to get others to connect, since they dont know, any descriptions, ping..and so on.

 

Is it maybe, that i am behind a router? i guess i've read something that IP's starting with

192. are not supported...could this be true?

mine starts with 192.

 

by the way...i can host without any problems with IL2-1949 for example, also with Lock On there is no problem. (just in case anybody want to ask me about firewall and port settings )

Make sure that 10308 is open and port forwarded to your machine.

 

I have an IP reservation setup up for my dedicated server and I forward 10308 to the private IP through the firewall appliance.

You just have to click on refresh to populate the info. Update list only updates the list of IP's.
